We got our first letter from Erik!!! He received our letters and pictures. He is in the 4th grade and he loves to read books and play the accordian!! When my dad was alive he loved playing the accordian. It was a passion of his and he is remembered for the beautiful songs that he played. We have missed it so much during the 2 years that he has been gone. It is a lost art as my sister and I never learned how to play, it was my dad's thing. Now to know that Erik likes to play the accordian. Oh my goodness!! It is as if God chose Erik just for us and he even likes the accordian. God is in ALL the details. He also loves to draw and he drew us a beautiful picture of flowers in a vase and he is really pretty good. I will try to figure out how to post a picture of it. He really loved the pictures we sent of our dogs, Molly and Maiya and he hopes that Emily, Katie and Julianna will like him, well of course!! What a blessing to wake up this morning and get this letter and pictures of our son. He is so handsome and I hope to post a current picture of him as he looks like he has grown a lot since his last picture.
Our home study is just days from completion and then we wait for our fingerprint appointment. It looks like we are on track to leave in May. Please pray for the rest of the money to come so that we do not have to delay this process just because we do not have enough money to get him. Now that we have received his letter it makes it more real and I want to leave today to go and get him. Thanks you to all of you for your love and support.
