Garage Sale Date Change
Our Garage Sale has been changed to March 11, 12 & 13 at our home in Moore. If you have nice things that you would like to donate, please let me know. We will begin accepting donations on March 6th. Please do not bring us your junk!! If you think it belongs in the trash, please throw it away. We do not have a big trash day until April so we will not be able to throw the really old stuff away and I really do not want to work around it. We will have our hands full putting everything out and only have room for nice, gently used items. Not things that smell and are broken : ). Thanks so much ahead of time for your donations. If you are available to help get things organized or work at the garage sale, please let me know. Denise ~ ddredman@att.net

Puzzle Fundraiser!!!!!
A couple of months ago God placed on our hearts and brought to our attention a little boy from Eastern Europe by the name of Erik. He has no hope because he has no family or home. We know without any doubt that God has called us to make him our son so we are now in the process of adopting him. He will become a part of our family and live with us here in Moore, OK. So far several of our friends have supported us by providing the funds we have needed for the stateside paperwork. We are now at the crucial time of raising around $22,000 needed to complete the process to bring him home. We need to raise these funds within the next 2 months.
We recently heard about a fun fundraiser called a "Puzzle Fundraiser". It sounded neat to us so we are going to give it a try. We have a puzzle that was my dad’s called "In a Matter of Time" and we feel this represents our journey to make Erik a part of our family. As most of you know my dad loved putting puzzles together and this puzzle was one that he loved. It has 1000 pieces. For every $10 donated to the Puzzle Fundraiser we will put 1 piece in the puzzle. We will be posting pictures of the progress every so often. When we have enough donations to finish the puzzle we will have raised $10,000 towards Erik’s Adoption and we will have the finished puzzle posted on our website. Every $10 donation for a puzzle piece will have the name of the person donating written on the back of the puzzle piece. We will keep the puzzle and he will be able to grow up and see all the names of people who donated to put that puzzle together for him and be a part of bringing him to Oklahoma.
There are several ways that you can donate towards our puzzle fundraiser. First of all you can use the chip-in button to make a donation through Paypal. Second, you can send us an email at ddredman@att.net and let us know how many pieces of the puzzle you would like to purchase and I will email you our address if you do not have it. Thank you ahead of time if you are able to help us to make this HUGE step in bringing Erik home! There is a lot that has to happen to have the funds to bring him home and this is something we cannot do alone. If you cannot donate at this time please pray for the process to go smoothly and for the needed funds to be raised in God’s timing. You can also help us by spreading the word about our journey and fundraiser with everyone you know by word of mouth, your blog, email or Facebook. Remember only $10 helps put a piece of the puzzle together. Thanks for your love, prayers and support during this exciting and blessed time in our lives.
We really love & appreciate all of you and we can’t wait for you to meet Erik!!

Erik got our letter!!
We just got word that Erik got the letter that we sent him last week. It has been translated for him and he now knows that we are coming for him to make him a part of our family. We are so filled with joy and excitement right now. Our son knows that he will soon be home with his new family. I pray this gives him hope and joy. Keep praying for his health and well being and for this process we are in to go smoothly.

Our goal for January 15th has been met!!!
Thanks to a dear family friend's generosity we have been able to meet our goal for January 15th. This means that our application, passports and fingerprinting are taken care of financially. Our next goal is to raise the large amount of money for our trip to Ukraine and the money needed to pick Erik up. There still will be little fees here and there that we need to cover but for now all of the paperwork we needed to fill out and pay for have been paid for. We will be doing a garage sale on March 18-20 at our home in Moore. If you have things you would like to donate for our sale please collect those items and bring them over to our house the week of the sale beginning on Tuesday, March 16th. I would appreciate it if you would let me know if you are planning to do this so I can figure out how much stuff we will have. If anyone is available to help us get things ready and work at the garage sale, I would appreciate your help. Thanks to all of you for praying for our family and for Erik. I hope all of you were able to see the special video at church yesterday with our son Erik's picture on it. We had no idea that Chris was doing this so it was a very exciting and emotional time for Michael and I. It is becoming more and more realistic that we are really going to have a new family member and that we are so blessed to have the opportunity to rescue this little boy. I look forward to giving him a big hug and can't wait to see him smile. Continue to pray for his protection until we can get there to see him sometime this coming Summer. Many blessings to all of you!!! Denise

Popcorn Sales and other stuff
The Popcorn sales are going great!! There is still time to order popcorn until this Friday. A long time friend of my family called last night and she is telling everyone she knows about our popcorn fundraiser and that just gets me all excited. Thanks Kathy for all you are doing to help bring Erik home!!
We got to send the first letter to Erik this past weekend. We got to tell him that we are coming to bring him home sometime this coming summer. We also got to send him a picture of our family, house and dogs. I can't wait for him to get the letter. I pray it gives him hope and a reason to make it through each day until we get to meet him in person. Please pray for his safety and comfort during these next several months as we have to go through this long process of paperwork. I wish we could get him now but that is just not how it works. We are so excited and cannot wait to get him to Moore, OK. What a time that will be!! Thanks again for all of your support and what you are doing to help us in this journey. We cannot do it without God and all of you. I heard a saying from a dear friend of mine yesterday and it expressed exactly how I feel at this moment so I have to share it.
"Adopting one child will not change the world but for that one child the world will change". WOW!! It still gets me all fired up!! Many Blessing to all of you, Denise

New Large Goal Thermometer
We started a new thermometer for the big picture of what all we need to raise by this summer when we go to pick him up. So far we have raised $1500 toward all the paperwork that has to be filled out before we can pick him up. This thermometer will change as we raise money through fundraisers and donations. Thanks to all of you who have donated or purchased popcorn so far!!
We are over halfway to this month's goal!!
Please register as a follower when visiting our blog so that you can get automatic updates and also so we know who all is keeping track of our journey.

Our Home Study is done!!
We met with the social worker this evening to do our Home Study. It went great and she said she will definitely recommend us for adoption. We are so excited to have this part behind us and now we just wait for her to type it up and collect all the documents that need to go with it. This should take about 3-4 weeks. Our next step is the USCIS application. One step at a time and one step closer to Erik!! Thanks for the prayers!! Denise
